HELLO ALL :D haha. decided to re-open this blog cos I wanna blog about the NBS FOC which I just went! But I’m feeling a bit drowsy now though.. caught a fever on my way back home. Almost wanted to die on the train. Stupid train ride was so damn long. When I came home I just dumped all my clothes into the washing machine and went to bathe and sleep immediately. And I totally forgot to dry them. Think my dad did it for me in the end. Haha.

Anyway, back to the point. We met up at the outdoor esplanade theatre on the Saturday before the camp week. Got to know most of my group members. Btw our group’s called HAUNTER! :D I love the name cos it’s a pokemon and pokemon used to be my favourite last time. HAHA. the other groups were like Achmed, Fletcher, Kosac, Casper etc. Can’t remember all now. Haha. but casper’s a nice name too. And they’re our sister OG! Kemin’s in that group. Lol. But our sister cheer always lao kui one. Didn’t really practise much with each other and it doesn’t sound very flowy too. Lol. Played quite a few games with each other. And there were a lot of fake freshies in our group. Fake as in the seniors pretended to be like us and joined us in the games. Oh and I must say that I felt quite inferior when I first saw the people there. The guys were cool and all while most of the girls were quite chio. Then I’m like -__- lol. I bet they chose me last minute cos somebody in our group backed out or something. But seriously there were a lot of good looking people there. But generally there were more chio girls than shuai guys. Haha. anyway, I was the first unlucky person cos I tio forfeit while playing blow wind blow -_- then they made me and another guy called KS do the seven wonders. As in they’ll choose any seven parts of our body and stick together. Damn paiseh can. The first one was like stick my left leg on his right butt. Then got put our foreheads together, my left hand behind his shoulder blah blah. So paiseh okay. And we just kept apologizing to each other. Evil seniors.. after playing for some time, we were spilt up into two groups: the mascot group and the performance group. I got into the mascot group. Then we went on to discuss about the mascot and stuff and arranged to meet up on the next day. Met up at the underground in smu. The place’s quite cool. Did the mascot and learned the dance steps for the performance. Cheryl was the one who led us. Smart and cute girl who was always made fun of by the guys. Lol. Left the place at around five plus and went to plaza sing to get a gift for our secret partner. Didn’t know what to buy so me and weiqi just bought a cup each. Lol. Went home, packed my bag and went to bed as quickly as possible.

Woke up at 5am on Monday. Felt a bit groggy cos I think I didn’t have enough sleep. Met jacinta at pasir ris station before going on to meet weiling and cheryl at tampines and jessica at bedok. Lol we’re all the east side people. Sat in the train until butt pain before finally reaching boon lay. We were one of the latest though. Haha. after taking attendance, they spilt us up into groups of one guy and two girls as a buddy group. josephine and I formed a group with yongxian the macho guy. Haha. then they forced the guys to take our bags for us.. leaving us to walk around empty-handed. Lol poor guys. Took a bus to ntu before settling down in the LT and listening to three boring talks. That was really a waste of time cos when all the talks finally ended, it was already lunchtime. Sat around in a circle and learnt the makan cheer. Then they got the seniors to form an inner circle and face us to eat. The seniors were really engaging and friendly. Throughout the entire camp they took really good care of us. Always asking us to drink water, bought cough syrup and strepsils for us to eat, buying extra food for us blah blah. Really appreciate what they’ve done for us. After lunch was the dirty games time. When I say dirty it was really dirty okay. We had to slide through soya sauce and flour and what have you which was spread over the tables and play scissors paper stone. Then we also had to crawl through mud and grass, pick out gummy bears from flour, sit on squashed eggs mixed with flour and sauce blah blah. The worst was we had to dip our hair in a bucket of mud and soya sauce water -___- and they told me that my hair is very long and curly so it’s good for absorbing more water. So they really poured all the water on my hair. Damn gross okay -___- After the entire thing, we all stank like hell. Felt like we just came out from a rubbish dump. And they didn’t allow us to bathe immediately. They only roughly splashed water on us. My hair and scalp had like dried flour on it and it smelt like soya sauce. I had a hard time trying to peel off the flour and pull them off from my hair can. Lost quite a lot of hair as a result. Sad sad. Lol. After dinner was games again. These were not dirty games but there was a particular station which made us dirty again. They made the entire group climb down into a big drain and asked us to walk through it and get to the other side. And we were only given two candles, with the first and last person holding it. I was the third person to climb in cos they put yongxian at the front. So we had to follow him. Was a bit scared at first cos when I went down the drain was like damn dark. The light from the candle didn’t really help much. And we had to wait for the whole group to come down before moving off. Along the way, the evil seniors made funny noises from above and even poured cold water down. Lucky I didn’t tio any of the water. Lol. And the drain stank from the dried mud. At the last part we had to climb this high wall. And all they gave was a chair with a broken leg -_- so the guys had to carry and push the girls up. I took quite long to climb up cos my arms suddenly had no strength to pull myself up. Then the poor guy below was like struggling to push me up. Lol. And our bodies were filled with stinky mud again. This mud really stank okay I almost fainted just from smelling it. After this we sat in circles and played games again. Lol learnt quite a lot of stupid games. But it was quite fun. There were a few which can really sabo people one. Played until till like 4 before we moved on to the last station, called the nanyang lake. This station… I really dunno what to say lah. From the beginning to the end, we were cheated so badly. First, we were all told to blindfold ourselves. Then they slowly brought each of us to the so-called “lake”. Before moving off, the seniors told us about the lake, how deep it is, how ‘lucky’ we were to get a chance to slide down into the lake blah blah. And all of us actually believed them. And they made the girls shout out a guy’s name whom we think can ‘save’ us when we slide into the lake. I chose to shout my buddy yongxian’s name. and I shouted so damn loudly somemore. I really expected myself to fall into a real lake and I was already prepared to kick myself up above the water. But when I went down the slide, I felt that what I landed on was just a small puddle of soapy water. i even tried to tread water okay -_- when I removed my blindfold, I realised that what I landed on was just a small puddle of water. and the guys were like all lined up in front of us, looking, and maybe laughing at our stupidity. I really felt damn cheated can. ‘Nanyang lake’.. I would really remember the name man. Some of the girls even wore life jackets. Omg I cant imagine how embarrassing it was. Lucky I didn’t choose to wear it. Hurr. Anyway when the whole station ended, it was already five plus. We were brought to the male toilet in hall 4 to bathe. And after being dirtied so badly from all the games, we were only given less than 10mins to bathe cos they said we were going to miss the bus. I didn’t really have time to scrub off the flour from my hair. It was so rushed. I really wished I could bathe longer. In the end the bus left without us and we were made to sleep on a staircase and wait for the next bus which was coming at 7. by the time we were all done with bathing, it was already 6am. Tried to sleep a bit but I cant. So I stayed awake for that one hour. So all in all, we did not get any sleep on the first night. Was feeling damn tired and shagged.

All of us knocked out during the bus journey to sentosa. It was really tough for us cos we were already so tired and we still had to carry our heavy bags and walk such a long distance to siloso beach. We were the last group to reach. Some of the groups already started to have breakfast. Btw all the breakfast meals sucked okay. It was either beehoon or noodles or guotiao which was so oily and unappetizing. After eating, we were made to learn more cheers. By the time our enthu-ness already dropped by almost half. Everyone was so dead to cheer loudly. And the weather was so hot somemore. Luckily I applied sun-block everywhere. So I didn’t become a bangla after the camp! HAHA. but the top part of my scalp’s burnt though.. so gross. Anyway, I wasn’t very enthu for the beach games. And we were made to do photo formation on the shore, causing us to feel sandy and wet and gross again. And the games did not end at lunchtime. It still continued until around 4 plus. I felt like a burnt chicken after that. The worst game I played was the one where they made us climb through a man-made bridge whereby some of our group members had to lift their bodies up while some of us climbed through below. It was so torturing cos I could only use my arm strength. I didn’t dare to kick to push myself in front cos I was afraid that I would kick until the group members who formed the bridge. When I finally reached the end, I seriously almost wanted to die. On the next day I had a bad muscle-ache as a result -_- after the sentosa games ended, we headed to NSRCC for our accommodation for two nights! The resort’s really cool. I love the facilities in the toilet. Haha. Vanessa, our chief group leader was nice to hurry us to reach the resort first so we didn’t have to queue for the toilets. Had a great bath before dinner. And then was the worst night I’ve ever had in my entire life. It was fright night time. And they really brought us to a haunted house which was near to the old changi hospital. The seniors really got a license to use that deserted house and that’s where they set up all the props inside. I would say that they really put in a lot of effort. It felt even scarier than the haunted house in escape. I was teamed up with mingjin and KS. And as usual, they blindfolded us first before bringing each group up to that terrifying house. When we were at the entrance, we were told to take off our blindfolds. We climbed a flight of steps before seeing someone dressed in black with a black cape and wearing a mask. All he said was “the girl in the middle, please come up.” And i was the one in the middle -_- I didn’t want to go up at first and we tried to argue with him that we were supposed to stay together throughout. And he raised his voice and said “JUST COME.” So I timidly went up slowly. There was another guy standing at a corner. Dressed in exactly the same style as the guy who told me to come up alone. I was told to touch him. Then I was like NO! and that guy shouted again and asked me to touch. So I covered one of my ears and tapped his shoulder gently. Suddenly that person moved and shouted which shocked me and I screamed. LOL. Then we were directed to the first room. This is the scariest room I should say. Each of us were told by the ‘ghost’ inside to perform a task. Mingjin was told to go into the toilet and sit on the toilet bowl and hold a doll. Then the slammed the door. KS was just asked to face the wall and wait. After that I was told to go to the ‘ghost’ with long hair at the back of the room. She was the scariest looking person okay. Her hair was long and covered part of her face. and her face was pale white with very bad makeup on her eyes and lips. She walked towards me slowly and handed me a comb and asked me to comb her hair. I was like WTF?! And I screamed nooo. And she screamed even louder than me can. She was like “COMB MY HAIR NOW!!!!” so I took the comb and stood at a safe distance from her before trying to reach out to her hair and comb quickly. I think I was a bit rough so she said “GENTLY!!!!” HAHAHA now come to think of it, I think it’s quite funny cos those who were really scared just anyhow combed her hair. Then I think it was painful for her. HAHA. after that she asked me “AM I PRETTY??” and I immediately said “yes yes you’re the prettiest, please let me off”. HAHAHA cant imagine how lao kui I was. And she started screaming again before taking back her comb. Some of my OG mates were even funnier lor. They answered NO to her and she started screaming hysterically at them. HAHA. after that we three were chased out from the room. They were like “GET OUT, GET OUT NOW!!!!”. Lol. Btw we were supposed to find clues in the house cos we had to solve a murder case. Couldn’t exactly remember all the rooms but I shall talk about those which left a deeper impression. There was this room where I was unluckily picked again to read a passage. I had to kneel down and hold the hand of this dead corpse while reading it. The lights were really dim and I couldn’t see the words properly. So I stuttered a lot of times. There was a part where the dead corpse suddenly jumped up and grabbed my hand. Lol zzz. Oh and there was this super disgusting part. I had to pull the intestines out from this corpse’s stomach can. And they really went to buy the pig’s intestines. It was so gross and slimy and stinky can! Damn unlucky lah me. Got all the worse tasks. Oh and there was this part where we had to climb into a coffin-like thing and search for a clue. They abit put a baby doll at the other end of the coffin and asked me to touch it and feel for the clue. Then in the end they just gave the clue to us. Zzzz. After getting all the clues, we had to form the six letters into a word. We took quite long to figure out what it was. At first we thought it was a person’s name. so we formed words like Bobley, Boyble etc. which obviously don’t make sense. Then the two ghosts in front of us told us that it’s an occupation. And in the end it was belboy. And I still dunno what is a belboy though. Haha ohwell. This entire thing was really scary and it really showed the timid side of me. I think I’m the most timid in my group. Both of them didn’t scream except for me. Haha. I bet those ghosts were laughing at us behind our backs. But really must thank them for putting in so much effort for this. Heard that three other OGs didn’t manage to go in cos the police came and stopped them. Say what the license that they got is actually for filming and not to use it to scare people. And that residents nearby complained that we were too noisy. As if there were people living near there. Lol weird.. reached the resort at around 11 plus. Slept at 12. this was the day when we had the most amount of sleep.

Day three was pool games. It was quite slack as we only had to walk around the pool to find the stations. Didn’t really participate much though. Was really shagged. Lol. There was this station called the confidence jump where we all had to jump down from three and five metres in height. I was abit freaked out for the three metres one alr. So you can imagine how I felt when I was about to jump down from a height of five metres. Actually I think it’s more than five metres cos the fall felt rather long before I reached the water. lol cant believe that I actually dared to jump off from there. I think I just heck and stepped out. There was a guy who became ‘famous’ cos he stood on the platform and hesitated for damn long before jumping down. The whole world was like staring at him. I think he took like twenty minutes or so before deciding to jump. His whole OG even went up to encourage him. Haha damn embarrassing for a guy. After the dinner was the performance night. It lasted for about four hours can. Our group didn’t really screw up anything. Just that I felt we were just average. There were other better groups. After the performance was the secret partner (SP) thing, which was one of the highlights of every camp. We were blindfolded once again and brought to a corner to sit down. After that they brought our SP to sit down with us and we were made to hold hands and talk to each other. Btw the guy was not from the same group as us. They just randomly picked a guy from another group. So the entire situation was really awkward. Somemore we were told to lie to each other so that on the next day when they come to pick us up for dinner, they will have a hard time spotting us. Lol. Really evil man. The guy whom I was allocated to was okay. He started most of the topics. I did an embarrassing thing though. I tried to lie to him that I’m from AJ and it just so happened that he was really from AJ. So knowing that I was lying, he tried to ask me for the school motto and the principal’s name and I was stunned. LOL. Damn embarrassing man. After that I just told him the truth throughout. The only thing I lied about was my height. I told him that I was 150++cm. haha. he also lied to me about his height lo. he said he was 160-170++ but in fact he is actually 190cm. damn tall -_- and halfway through our conversation, the seniors will randomly come and make us do stupid things. They made us play scissors paper stone. Then I was like huh cannot see how to play?? Then they were like then you can feel each other’s hands lor. ZZZ. And we even did a cheer. Then they made us lie on each other. LOL really stupid stuff man. And I could see a lot of camera flashes. Walao. Anyway I tried to hide my identity as much as I could so that it will be difficult for him to spot me the next day. But I told him a distinguishing feature which made him spot me immediately the next day. I told him that I wear specs. Lol zzz shouldn’t have told him that. And actually I was feeling damn tired throughout so I didn’t really pay attention to what he was saying. I just keep saying MMM. LOL. And at some parts I almost fell asleep. HAHA. evil me.. but I could catch some parts like he aspires to be a tri-athlete and that his family is quite well-off. His dad is a lawyer. Like wow. And he goes for scuba diving. Lol. After about half an hour, they separated us and brought me back to my OG. That’s where we started bitching and discussing about our SPs. Lol. Not so much of bitching though. Most of us found our SPs okay. Some even got fake SPs. As in the seniors pretended to be their SPs. They got like three different guys to talk to them. Lol. After going back to the resort, we still couldn’t sleep cos they were playing this circle of trust game, whereby each of us has to say whether we are attached or if we broke up with our previous bf/gf and why. Mine was quite short cos I just said that I’m single and there were no past relationships. HAHA. then by the time we got to sleep, it was already 4 plus. And we abit had to wake up at 7 the next day.. so you can imagine how tired I was. I really cannot survive without sleep one. Maybe that’s why I fell sick. Lol.

Anyway, day 4 was shi zhi lu kou! It was damn tiring cos we had to run around bugis and it was so damn freaking hot. And before we left for bugis, the evil seniors used camel paint and drew on our faces. Liang qi abit drew a moustache with beard for me. I looked damn horrible can! Then some of the others had weird hairstyles with chopsticks and spoons stuck into their hair. flowers and leaves also. Lol. When we got off the bus at bugis, everyone was staring at us like we came from some tribal land. Haha. the food was okay. I suddenly fell in love with yu pian mi fen!! The one which we ate was damn nice. Everyone wanted to have a mouth of it. Lol. After the whole thing ended, we rushed back to our chalet and started to bathe and dress up for the SP night. Most of the girls wore until damn nice. And they were like all pro in putting on makeup. I’m like uhhhh at the side. Lol. Anyway they made us all sit down in a U-shaped manner. Then they slowly called each guy in and made them do stupid tasks before being allowed to ask us questions and spot their female SP. Poor guys. One of them came in and was made to do stupid things and then later he was sent out. Another was made to squat and hold us his gift for like damn long. Bet his legs were damn suan. It was quite draggy and by the time it was eight something, only a few pairs left for dinner. There were like more than half of the girls left. Lol. I left at around eight plus. My SP abit spotted me immediately cos I was the only one who wore specs. Lol zzz. We went to the taxi stand and waited for a cab. It was quite a long wait and the taxi driver refused to go by the expressway. So we took a longer time to reach town. He brought me to the Japanese restaurant ichiban at esplanade. It was my first time there so I didn’t know what to order. There was so much food but most of them were not to my liking.. =X lol. In the end I asked him what he was eating and he said udon so I followed him. Then he also called some sushi as side dishes and a bowl of salad with raw salmon. Ate until I wanted to puke can. I actually didn’t want to eat the raw salmon but he kept asking me to try. So I tried one small piece and wanted to puke but I hid my expression lah. In the end he had to finish all the salmon himself. LOL. After that I offered to go dutch but he refused. I think the guys were really brainwashed by the seniors. They were told that taking cab and paying for everything was a must. Tsk tsk. I wonder how will those with financial problems feel. Anyway, we took a walk to butter factory which was near to the merlion. We were all supposed to meet there and go clubbing. We reached there slightly earlier and we felt thirsty, so he bought a large cup of starbucks mocha ice blended and we shared. It was nice and I think I drank quite a lot of it. Haha. oh and we exchanged presents halfway too. I gave him a cup (the one which I bought last minute) while he gave me an adidas toilette. Lol. After that we spilt up into our own OGs. The entire experience was okay lah. I think he finds me abit boring cos I wasn’t really very engaging during the dinner. I just listened to him talk most of the time. Lol. Ohwell. After that was clubbing! My first ever experience to a club. It was rather cool though. We were the first OG to go in. those girls who have never gone to a club before stayed together. We were like saying that we will not drink too much alcohol. We only wanted to drink juice. HAHA. when yongxian bought three big jugs of liquid which looked like orange juice, Cheryl quickly asked for it and wanted to drink it. She’s damn cute lah. They where got sell orange juice de.. when she drank a sip she was like eew. LOL. After that we were told to go up to the dance floor and danced. I was rather reluctant at first. But I still went up and tried to shake with the rest. I think I was abit rigid though. HAHA. Sharon and cherie were like so pro. Shaking and enjoying themselves. After that I think I got better lah. Haha. and I was pulled up to the platform by cherie to dance. It was quite fun though. Cos the place was booked by our school so there weren’t any outsiders there. So there was nothing much to feel shy about. After dancing for almost an hour, I felt really tired and just sat on the sofa and slept with the rest of the non-dancing girls. The only thing I was uncomfortable about was that one of the workers gave me a nudge when he passed by me. I wanted to push him away lor. Haha but ohwell.. we were again the first OG to leave again. Really wanna thank Vanessa for always making us the first to leave so that we could get more rest. After washing up, the seniors wanted us to play the circle of trust game again but me and Cheryl couldn’t stand it so we were the first few to sleep. Lol oops.

Day 5. the very last day of the camp. I seriously think this is a survivor camp. I’m glad that I survived it :D but I still got sick in the end. Haha. we headed back to ntu and played some games. I didn’t really participate again cos I was really tired. Lol. Anyway after the games ended, we were made to run around a certain area of ntu. I think I passed by my hall. And it’s really on top of a hill. Erps. and it was so tiring and my legs almost gave way. There was supposed to be a closing ceremony after lunch but we suddenly had to break camp immediately cos there was a suspected case of h1n1 in the camp. The food that we were supposed to have for lunch were all thrown away too. So wasteful =X so we starved till like three plus before some of our OG mates went down to the canteen to buy food for us and for treating the seniors. We hid in one of the LTs and ate. Cos we were supposed to break camp by 3pm. Lol. Took quite a lot of pictures and did a last cheer combo. Vanessa gave a speech and starting tearing. By the time the whole thing ended, it was already 5 plus. we quickly left the place and went home. The east side people all took the same train and we all knocked out during the journey. Haha. I felt really horrible cos my temperature was going up and I could feel that I’m gonna have a fever. When I finally reached pasir ris, I couldn’t stand it and gave a call to my mum and asked her to fetch me home. Finally ended the camp. It was really a totally new experience for me. Did many things which I’ve never done before. Didn’t regret going for it. But I sort of regretted withdrawing from the cac camp next week. I already paid and I’m quite sure there wont be any refund. I know I will die if I go cos there’s still the hall camp the following week. Ohwell.. I think I must give my body a good rest.

Okay finally finished blogging. Haha. I know my English sucks. It feels like I’m writing a very long primary school compo. Thanks for reading up till here. Will update soon again. I guess. Haha. tata!
